The Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI) held its second Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 16th.
From May 27th - 29th, members of SCAI attended an exposition on intellectual property rights.
On May 13 to 19 May 2010, the Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia visited a coffee plantation in North Sumatra and Aceh Tengah with several members. This activity aims to provide knowledge to the members about how coffee growing, processing, the proper post-harvest really, and introducing a good coffee quality.

Course and certification for Q-graders

There are currently 358 certified Q-Graders in the world. For more information on the Q Coffee System, visit the CQI website. SCAI and CQI plan to bring this program to Indonesia in January, 2009. There will be space for 25 students. Preference will be given to students who attended the training by Ted Lingle in July. The location, cost and application criteria for the course remain to be determined.
