The Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI) held its second Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 16th.
From May 27th - 29th, members of SCAI attended an exposition on intellectual property rights.
On May 13 to 19 May 2010, the Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia visited a coffee plantation in North Sumatra and Aceh Tengah with several members. This activity aims to provide knowledge to the members about how coffee growing, processing, the proper post-harvest really, and introducing a good coffee quality.

Indonesia Barista Competition 2009

JI Expo Kemayoran, Jakarta, 15 Apr 2009 - 18 Apr 2009

This competition was organized by SCAI with the support and participation of SCAI members as IBC 2009 committee and attended by 42 participants from Jakarta, Bandung, Jogjakarta, and Surabaya. Each participant was representative of their coffeeshop. Basic rules of this competition, each participant must make 4 espressos, 4 Cappucinos, and 4 Espresso - based baverages of their creation by 15 minutes. SCAI invited Ross Bright as Head Judge, Ibrahim Ahmad and Victor F.L. Mah as Technical Judge, and 26 other judges from Indonesia.
